Global Interconnection Group becomes listed on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange

Congratulations to GIG for its listing on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange today. It’s great to see this energy initiative growing its business. Interconnectors (big transmission cables that move energy between neighbouring countries) and interconnected grids are a key component in global energy strategies. They enable excess power, e.g. from wind and solar farms, to be traded and shared between countries so that renewable energy isn’t wasted and the power system is greener and more efficient. They can help to lower electricity supply prices for consumers. We provided the design support GIG needed to achieve the listing, creating the branding and designing and building its new digital presence.

Hearing Birdsong

We are excited to announce that one of our most recent projects ‘Hearing Birdsong’ is going to be exhibited as part of the Design Museum’s ‘Future of Ageing’ exhibition.

‘Hearing Birdsong’ is a digital product designed for people to screen themselves for hearing loss in the comfort of their own homes and is a concept created by Tom Woods, co-founder of Kennedy Woods, a practice that creates positive social impact through user-centred design & architecture. The project is being funded by the Design Age Institute.

Our role in this project has been creative and digital partner – designing, illustrating and developing the working digital prototype that will be active as part of ongoing user testing, and showcased at the ‘Future of Ageing’ exhibition.

Practitioners, researchers, engineers, designers and people with hearing loss have all helped to get Hearing Birdsong to a stage of delivering a working prototype which we are all very excited about. Immerse yourself in the rich soundscape at beta.hearingbirdsong.com or learn more about the exhibition.

Our team have won the competitive tender to support both the Design Age Institute and Kennedy Woods in designing and developing the digital experience and app prototype for Hearing Birdsong. The product will be showcased this summer in The Design Museum.

The global population is continuing to age, with the pace of ageing increasing rapidly. Globally, this age group will outnumber youth, and the increase will be greatest and fastest in the developing world – a very hot topic, and one that is a priority for countries across the globe.

We are proud to have launched a thought leadership campaign on behalf of Healthcare UK and the government that frames this global issue and discovers points of action. Read more in the case study.
